I have met so many positive people on this journey. The people who have crossed my path have been incredibly happy, kind, positive. and helpful. It is common for people to assist me with my luggage or help me with making the right train connections etc.
I, also, am doing my best to help others...like helping the elderly or mothers with strollers down the stairs in the train stations, take pictures for people, sharing a kind word etc.
Today, in Cologne, Germany, I passed a lady wearing a shirt that said:
"Think like a PROTON...Be POSITIVE!
I like that!
Apparently, he told the lady who was taking his order to ask me if I would like a tea or coffee. The German server came over to my table and said that the man referred to me as "simpatica." After the man left, the server said this was quite a special situation. I asked her to explain what just happened. Her words, "you are giving off good vibes...positive energy, so he wanted to get you a drink!" She also said the man told her to tell me, "I wish her a good journey and a long life."
One person in Gengenbach, Germany riding a bicycle stopped me on the street to tell me that I was jolly. It was completely strange to me. A few minutes later, something similar happened. A few days later, when I was at Dachau, the German concentration camp, a young man from Ireland was walking nearby and asked me where I was from. I told him Kentucky, and he said "ahhhh... this is why you are so friendly." Perhaps, the world notices a smile or kindness more than we realize.
I saw this shirt in a store in Cologne, Germany, today!
I agree with the German guy. You shine and radiate positiveness! Firsthand experience. Njoy your trip Rita X
