Ahhh, the lady hears bells. She wonders if they are church bells. Perhaps, she could go to the church for shelter. Quickly she winds through the thick brush…The bells ring louder, the deeper she gets into the thick shrubbery, and then all of a sudden...she is startled!
Within inches, a large cow with horns startles her with his clanging cow bells. Oh my...there are many cows, and babies… A whole herd of them. The only thing that separates the woman from the cows is an electric fence,
and the most logical way off the mountain is to get past these bovines.
Remember, the alternative is a tick infested path through the forest. Carefully, she passes her bags through the fence, and then lies parallel to the ground, squeezing under the wire of power.
The cows study her and move toward her to investigate this intruder. Oh no...could it be? She hears a bull in the next corral. She must follow the same procedure under the wire into the bull pen,
in order to progress down the mountain. The bull is loud, and she must go under another hot wire to get out of his pen. It is important to carefully lie flat in order to avoid the electrifying waves, but carefulness is not as important as speed in order to avoid the bull. Oh… she made it out of the pen with no calamity! Whew! The mountain is a steep pasture with an intricate maze of hot wires on a very steep slope.
The next hot wire is near to the ground, making the passage narrow, so the lady takes off her glasses and leaves them on the pasture grass. Any extra extension from her face could keep her from crossing underneath the hot wire. Again, she barely passes under the wire. If she had eaten one more bite of pastry at the bakery, she would not have made it, for the task would be impossible. Thankfully, the woman passed this part of the course and continued down the mountain, as the sky darkened.
Oh no, she could not see clearly. She remembered that she had left her glasses under the last hot wire. Now, she must go back up the mountain to get them.
